I liked the free upgrade to the beautiful ocean front room, where we could see whales and dolphins from our balcony. The property is beautiful, and the beach was not too crowded.
Only 1 ice machine and it was quite far from our hotel. Cockroaches in the room coming out of the vents.
The hotel, while old (think, Don Ho) was also well cared for and the staff were very friendly.
The rooms were pretty old and some stuff just couldn't be maintained--the rust in the bathroom ceiling and the ongoing water leak that spread onto the carpet in our room--but overall, I liked the place.
I was lied to by the person that I talked to to book the room. I asked if there was an elevator for my wife that has limited mobility that stairs irritate. I was assured that there was one which was not true. We found ths very irritating ans based on that we would not recommend your place to anyone.
One could relax and enjoy all the other amenities that the other people who were staying in the Tower at half the price. The front desk staff was fantastic all the way, day and evening. Thank you Georgie and the rest on days, and Frederick and staff in the evening.
Some guests would smoke on their balconies. Very offensive and pollutive. This could not be monitored by the regular staff, only other guests. It's something I wouldn't want to smell on such a beautiful island.
Beach front and part of the Royal Lahaina Resort which is a beautiful property. Nice walking trails through rolling golf course, and excellent beaches.
The room was advertised as having two queen sized beds, but they were actually doubles. My wife and I had to sleep in separate beds. We were only staying there for a couple of days, so it was ok, but the beds were very uncomfortable as well.
The service was outstanding. The front gate guard Toupou, the front desk clerk Steven and the room escort Jordon were very accommodating and provided excellent service.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
It was not clean. All the building was old. The walls were thin and we could feel people next room. It smelled. It was far from every thing, although it was inside a resort. The floor had carpet which is not good for sandy feet. It hasn't free wi-fi. Breakfast and taxes were not included in the room price so I had to pay about $100 more just for taxes. I think they should include taxes in the room price. My company paying for the trip... I had to pay the $100 and I don't know if I will be refunded by my boss.
Old furniture, not functioning old lights in the room.
After some confusion with the name of the hotel (see below) I found the facilities nice. Location was also good. A bit distant (15-20 walking min away) from the larger brand name hotels translates into better prices and still nearly the same convenience. Hotel staff was friendly and offered a free upgrade (to the main property) after I mentioned the naming issue.
Confusion about the name (see below).
casual environment, ocean view
room was in poor repair, 'fridge was falling off the platform...well worn and drawers smelled old. Beds uncomfortable and sitting chairs uncomfortable. the view was fantastic but still noticed those chairs on lanai were not comfortable either. Room service breakfast was disappointing. No condiments given, tray sat outside the room all day. I did not think we got ours money's worth for the in room breakfasts.
the beach is amazing. royal lahaina resort provided me with guided tours and a lot of info about where to go. snorkle eqipment available for rent and kBooked.nets for rent on site.
no vending machines!!! i would get thirsty in the night time and i felt trapped because the hotel closed everything at 11. there are major time differences so there should be stufff accisible to all tourists.
The location was good
The room was dirty, the cupboard fell apart, the bathroom was mouldy and there were no facilities (knife, spoon etc). The air conditioning was loud and overall it didn't represent value for money. It felt worse than a cheap hostel..
On the beach, walking distance to whalers village and shared amenities with the hotel.
Rooms not much more reasonable in price than hotel or villas, over priced for the room standards. At check bill was not accurate. Service at bar was below standard and food at the hotel was not very good.
Good value in a resort that is very expensive
I objected to having to pay for parking my car outside I objected to having to pay for wii fi connection. This should have been free - like the car park. Room had a rather stale, little used smell to it. Was " tired " and could do with a little refurbishment. No reception, lounge or staff visible. Really more like an annexe to Roayal Lahainia - which I suppose it was
Needed solace for one. Price was good but very old hotel. It was ok
It was fine for one night
